Maths Week 2020

12th Nov 2020

Maths Week 2020

Maths Week 2020 took place from the 10th to 18th of October. As always the girls and boys in St. Teresa’s really enjoyed completing many different online activities and also some hands-on games and activities at school. We used a website called Maths week.ie. It had a tone of activities like target boards,  problem solving and number workout. On target boards we had a leader board with different schools online. Problems were sometimes hard and sometimes easy. Here is one:

Emogi+Emogi=8.

Number workout is when you have 5 different numbers

You have to add, multiply, divide or subtract to get a certain number.

Most classes in the school were given online fun activities at home to do on Mangahigh. In my opinion it was really fun and we came around 19th in the large school category. We want to congratulate Rachel Keogh, Liam Doherty, Sorcha Ní Mhaonaigh and Roisín Ní Mhaonaigh for receiving Awards for the high points they achieved during Maths Week.

We also got to use Izak9 and Bee-bots during Maths week. Izak 9 has many different games and activities to complete as a team. We are already looking forward to Maths Week 2021.

Thank you for reading,
