Last week, we received the Health Promoting Schools’ Flag from the HSE as an acknowledgement of our work in improving the health of the school community. We focused on health and wellbeing and undertook many activities including cookery classes which were a great success amongst the pupils. There were many benefits to the initiative chief among those was increased self-esteem, a positive approach to health issues and increased parental involvement. All members of the school community were involved.
