We had a great morning as we headed to Longford County Council to see and hear all about the work they do. We were greeted by Cathaoirleach Turlough McGovern and Councillor Peggy Nolan. They brought us to the Chamber, where they hold their meetings. We had a great informative discussion about the work of the Council. Both Turlough and Peggy answered all the questions from how many diggers the Council own to how do they decide on planning permission! It was very wide ranging!
When we left the Council, we headed across the bridge for a quick walk with our new hats to The Mall. Then it was home time on the bus. It was a great morning!
