We have a proud tradition of playing rounders in St. Teresa’s National School. As early as September in Term 1, classes can be seen out on the pitch playing rounders. We are very lucky to hold a Summer Rounders League leading up to Sport’s Day. This is open to children from 3^rd to 6^th class. We hold a boys’ and a girls’ competition. There is a great atmosphere during these games and all the games are played in a sporting and respectful way. The finals are usually held on Sports Day in front of parents and the rest of the school. In 2018-2019 school year, we entered the first Cumann na mBunscol Longford Rounders championship. We made it to both the boys and girls finals. Mrs. Deborah Spollen and Mr. Emmet Toher took charge of our boys and girls’ teams. We look forward to continuing the strong tradition of rounders in our school.
